Come on everyone, pull out the pictures of the orange paint hat. I wanted to put these pictures up but didn't really know much about our famous hat--to my surprise. So I called Dad and asked him. He says, for the most part, he can't really remember that far back. He believes it started out as baseball hat from Dana playing one summer. It was lying around and got paint on it when they painted a room and became the "painting hat" after that. He would pull it out whenever we painted anything. I remember fighting over who would wear it because it was just special to us in some way. Dad always had a way for making normal things seem important, like using the "little" spoon at dinner. He always wanted that certain spoon for some reason, so it became more important than the rest. So it was with this hat. It is still around in safe keeping and will probably be on display in one of our homes someday!
