The YMCA

*I remember going to the YMCA every summer as a kid. We practically lived there because mom liked going so much. It wasn't until she got sick of paying for our passes and the life guards started telling her how she could play with us in the pool, that she thought about and finally did buy her own pool. Mom like to dunk us and stuff. We all loved it. Mom loved playing with us in the water, but they told her it was against the "rules". I remember she was mad. I loved walking to and from the pool with my sisters.(when we were a little older) It was a relativly a short walk, but we would always stop at the creek for awhile or run around in that feild beside the brown apartments before we came home.

( Ivy, Essy, Annie--at the "Y")

*I loved the baby pool. Even when I was too big to swim in it, I would crawl around in it on my belly. Everyone woud run to the baby pool when the life guards blew the "rest" whistle so they could still be in water.

*I remember we used to "sneak" our friends into the pool, if they looked like part of our family.( Blonde with light eyes) Christopher's best buddy, Luke, practiclly lived with us and always wanted to go. Topher couldn't figure out why his friend couldn't "sneak"in on our family pass.(He was a little black boy)
