Halloween Flashback

Costumes
Have to admit, I dont remember many we wore. I do remember feeling sorry for lots of other kids who wore prepackaged plastic costumes. Mom always made ours, and we looked the best!

The Haunted Horseman Picture
It was like 36X48 and Grandma painted it. It was a paint by number called Artex?
We would have to ask Dad, but I think it finally fell apart. It was kind of like painting on
heavy felt.

The Huge Metal Pumpkin
Dad and brother Amos made it I believe. It was a huge steel drum (like the size above the everyday size) cut out with a blow torch.
When mom and dad moved to California, I believe they gave it to Tom and Kelly Simmons and their family. Really, if you know someone with a blow torch...you could make your own!
